Need upgrade help

read the profile and sig for current setup. i want to start getting inside the beast and change things up like intake man. heads, cam, etc. but it's only a 305. Is it really worth modding it out more or should i get the 350 and bore it to a 383 and then start dumping the money. I don't wanna put too much more money into the 305 if i'm not gonna get that good of end results. any suggestions. I am in college so money is tight right now too.

a 383 is a 350 block with a 400 crank but any way.. yes youd be much better off putting money into a 350... but for now simple bolt ons like headers and such are fine because you can use them on a 350

A 383 is a 4.030" bore with a 3.75" stroke. (a "350 block" bored .030" over, and a 3.75" stroke). A virgin 4.00" bore bya 3.75" stroke yields a 377.
