Junkyard. Although, most anything from the yard will probably require some form of machine work. Most machine shops will probably sell you ready to go blocks which will be fresh and ready to go.

What exactly do you plan on swapping over? Not everything is compatable.

you ought to be able to find a builder 350 for 100 to 300, at least around where i live you can. 305 pieces won't work in a 350 balance will be differant.

You got some research cut out for you then if you don't know yet. Try a search for 305 to 350 swap and see what it comes up with. I just did that swap, and I ended up not really using anything except accessories to swap over. I found an LT1 crank and LT1 PM rods for cheap, got some TRW pistons, a 350 balancer and flexplate and called it a day. You can use the 305 heads, but they will choke it down badly, and a different cam obviously.
