Intake Gasket???
Intake Gasket???
When I removed my stock intake base I saw that the shop who had done my head gasket 5 years ago used like a freakin TON of gasket maker on the front and rear of the block to seal the intake.
Isn't there like a rubber gasket you can buy to go there rather than use gobs of gasket maker? If so, does anyone have a P/N or a proper name for what this gasket is called so I can get them from CarQuest tomorrow....
Thanks!

Actually if you buy a gasket set, it will come with them. But dont use them. The best way is to seal the ends with a nice healthy bead of silicone, and then a little glob in the corners. This is how the shop that replaced yours did before.

you need to run a bead of gasket maker @ 1/4 of an inch on the front and rear seating areas of the intake on the block and put a good blob of it where the actual intake side gaskets meet the front and rear on each side and you will not have a problem with it
