I have an older sbc in my 92 but im going to run the same belt setup it used to have when it was a 305.If i get a ac delete pully and have no smog pulley is there a shoter belt p# someone out there can get for me?
Also i hear about guys with these set ups throwing belts in the higher rpms any truth to this?

Once you get all the brackets and accessories on, wrap a piece of string around all the pulleys making sure to account for the tensioner. Then remove the string and measure it end to end. That's the length belt you need.

Say you need a 56.5" belt with 5 ribs. The part number will be something like 565L5. That's just an example, and the different brands may assemble it differently, but most follow that coding process.
