Code 50

I started out with 4 fault codes 24, 34, 50, 54. I replaced all of the Vacume lines and all but one have gone away. What would cause my whole car to have a "System Voltage Low" fault?

DTC "50"? You certain it's a "50"? To my recollection, the only way to get a code with a "0" (such as 40, 50, 60, etc.) is on a Cadillac with a digital heat/cool system display panel. Those vehicles display error codes through the digital display of the ventilation system control, rather than strobing the "Check Engine" lamp. I don't think even GTAs used that system with their digital displays. I could be mistaken though (again).

If you consider it, there is no way a flashing "Check Engine" light can display a "0" - That would be no flash of the lamp.

If this is a ThirdGen, or even a GM with an OBD ECM, there isn't even a "50" defined in the error code tables - Not even for Cadillacs. Valid error codes are from "12" to 132", and there are several gaps in the sequence. Want to scan that again?

What code reader are you using? Did the reader include any directions and definitions of error codes? How does it define the "50" it is displaying?

Have you tried to invoke diagnostic mode through the ALDL and retrieving codes via the SES lamp?
