Two questions. One on rear axle and one on electric solenoids.

First question is are the V6 diff the same as on V8 cars or are they weaker due to less hp so no need to have them as srong as a V8 car? Would it be ok to put a posi carrier
in a V6 rearend on a V8 equiped camaro?

Second question is are the any electricly operated solenoid valves on the vacuum lines? Is the egr solenoid this type? If so what voltage do it operate with?

Yeah the rear is the same..and I did exactly that. I pulled a posi carrier out of a 4th gen and put in an 84 4cyl rear. Just be sure you use the right spline axles for whatever carrier you do use.

another option is to put a Permatrax locker right in the open carrier.
