Highway Driving Problems**
Hello,
Whenever I takemy 85 iroc-z out on the highway to go pick up my girlfriend and then I get off the highway my car idles funny. The exhaust sounds hollow and it just idles louder. I was thinking this was because more air was getting into the engine since of the faster speed of air and thus the computer didnt have time to reprogram the air/fuel mixture. Any ideas?? Thanks!

Highway driving at part throttle cruise is one of the modes that will cause the EGR to operate. If your EGR valve is sluggish, or isn't closing fully, it might affect idle quality and sound.
As for the ECM learning the air flow, it should have done that the first time the car was driven in that mode. Unless you've disconnected the battery or otherwise removed power from the ECM, there should be no necessary additional learning.
