What would be a good cam and which carb do you like?
What would be a good cam and which carb do you like?
I have a stock LG4 305 in my car and was wondering what suggestions you all had on a camshaft. I'd like a bit more SOTP oomph but don't want anything that would require numerous other mods to work right. Would a Comp XE262 be a good choice?
And also...I know this has been debated but just wanted fresh opinions. I still have my computer controlled QJet on the 305. I also have a Holley 600cfm double pumper, brand new, in the box. The Holley was going to go on a different car but I decided otherwise on that car because I'd like to keep it stock. Will the DP not be happy with the high altitude? I do know that I'd have to buy an adapter to get it on the intake and I'd also have to change out the distributor.
And this is my current setup:
Stock LG4
Gutted catalytic converter
Monza tip mufflers
Thanks for the help/advice,
Matt
