1.5 and 1.6 Rockers

I'm considering getting some Harland Sharp roller rockers in 1.5 (8ea) and 1.6 (8ea) ratios.

At the risk of over simplification, which ratio would work better for the intake and which ratio for the exhaust?

Here's my spec's:

Circle track motor, 6,200 RPM Max,
355 SBC,
12:1 CR,
462 heads, 2.02 & 1.60, pocket ported, mild runner porting
.540" lift 258 dur. I,(.050"),
.558" lift 266 dur. E,(.050"),
Holley 2 barrel,
1 5/8" headers.

Also, are Harland's a good brand?

Thanks!

Larry

too many variable to really answer. some people use 1.6s to increase lift on the smaller lift side of the cam, others use 1.6 to increase exhaust flow and some use 1.6 to increase intake flow. i like to use the same ratio for both. i use comp rockers there are members here who have reported problems with harland sharp rockers.

My recommendation is to use the 1.6's on the intake since you already have a dual pattern cam and 1.5's on the exhaust.

Use 1.6's all the way around.

The only purpose of putting a 1.6 on the exhaust and a 1.5 on the intake would be to compensate for a single pattern cam and heads with crappy i/e ratios, or on a nitrous/super/turbo motor where the intake side is of less importance when compared to the need for increased flow on the exhaust.
