Figure this out
I have an 85 TPI car and swapped in a carbed stroker. The kid I bought it from tried to install an alarm system and it was a hack job, he also screwed up the ignition (key hole), I had to rewire the key to an external unit. I gutted all of the wires for the TPI. The car has no accessories at all. The only things hooked up are the starter, lights, windows, locks, seats, gauges, and fuel pump.
The problem:
The car ran fine and then a week later...
I have gone through a couple of starters now, the starter will work fine and then it will put 12 volts to the block. It happened twice so I don't think it is the starter. This weekend the starter acted up and then fixed itself (so I thought), now the car will turn over, getting gas, getting air and getting spark, good compression, good time, but will not start. I know with bikes (mostly two strokes) plugs will have trouble firing under compression but are fine in open atmosphere.
Anybody have any problems like this?
