How about AFR, they could probably CNC port them for you, if they still have a program for those heads.

Well, I have thought of that. An email will find out the cost.

Here is the place that I have talked to. It's called Total Engine Airflow. AFR wanted about $900 to CNC port my 195's. TEA wanted $800. Also, TEA can make them flow over 300 cfm where as AFR's CNC job will not.

TPI$ might be worth a try too. They use AFRs on the engines they build.

Thanks for the tips, thats what I need.

I have also considered the company in PA. that did the Magnum TPI 395 cu.in engine build for GM Hi-Tech magazine.

I think TPIS is costly, but it doesn't hurt to email them.

When money permits, I'm most likely gonna go with these guys...

They're pretty popular with the LT1 crowd.

Just an FYI... TEA just got bought out by Trick Flow. They are in the process of closing down in Bowling Green KY and moving to Akron OH to open up shop again.

They will continue their current business, and continue to port Ford and Chevy heads. TFS bought all their CNC programs for LS1 and LT1 heads, and they will be a part of TFS, but also be their own business if that makes sense. If you need anything done in a timely fashion, I wouldn't count on them right now. Let them get settled into their new shop and then call them...

It's kind of a mad house there right now lol. I do recomend them though. I've seen thier work and even helped do a few "heads and cam" jobs for them. Some of the stuff they do is amazing. Brent Lightfoot just finished tuning a LS1 Vette that made like 520rwhp and got 31mpg.

since your mentioned the LT1 crowd, Lloyd Elliot over on camaroz28.com does outstanding port work....there are guys over there withmore then 400RWHP running his head and cam packages (he also makes custom cams speciffically for his heads)...and also VERY VERY affordable...400 for his stage 1's which flow roughly 260 on sotck LT1 castings

Yeah, LE does great work too from what I've seen...in fact I want to get one of his head/cam packages for a budget type build up on my wifes LT1.
