just a quick question.
anyone know what a reasonable price for brake shoes and wheel cylinders should be?
I am redoing my rear drums and the guy at NAPA wanted 32 EACH for the wheel cylinders. is this right?
another source has them for 12 apiece but I think this is more than the difference between made in USA and taiwan.
also he wanted 12- 20 for the shoes (different warranties) a side. is this right?

sorry for the yes or no type of question but then again that makes your job easier now doesnt it.

Its been about 6 years, so Ill take a guess and add inflation to what we used to sell stuff for

Shoes, 19 and change, bought those from a local company who used Abex linings... Abex supplies pad material to just about everyone, even some brake manufacturers like Wagner.
Wheel cylinders, 26 and change for good ones, chinese stuff is about 10 bucks. I'd stay away from the chinese stuff, it rusts alot easier than the better stuff. China=Poor material.
