Engine: original 305TBI 140,000mi
Transmission: automatic (although standard would be preffered)
tune up

what is the suggested mileage for tuneups or in other words what is the maintenance schedule for a 91 RS maro? specifically the distributor ( cap or cap and rotor and at what miles.)

i change everything at about 30k intervials. but oil is every 2-2500 miles plugs as people say go longer then that. well some do some don't just to be safe i change them every 30k and same with my rotor. and just give my cap a new cleaning scince i have HEI i change the whol coli every 50k. i try to keep things in good condition and helps rule out factor in problames

Just don't forget that mileage is just as important as age, usually. I agree with ridecamro, a good tune-up (including the cap and rotor) should be done every 30K miles, or every 2 years, whichever comes first. And change your oil and filter every 3K miles, or 3 months. At least that's how I've been told to figure it.

yeah the oil ive been on top of but as i bought the car over the summer im not sure wen the cap and rotor were done last. i now im gonna get criticism prob now for not doing it wen i got the car but thats life. thanks guys.
