hey how can i bypass VATS on a 90 IROCZ.
VATS bypass kit ($25)
not sure on the procedure, or difficulty. i spent a $100 on a new key cause my chip fell out of my key. i think it was worth it though, knowing that my car cant be hot wired. my car has been broken in to at least 5 times. thank *** for vats.

you said you have been having alot of problems starting it...does it turn over? if not, i would check the neutral safety switch. for a loooong time, whenever my car would get hot, it wouldn't start. no cranking, nothing. i checked everything. changed the starter 3 different times, and it still did the same thing. it would start fine 1 minute, leave me stranded the next. finally one day when i was waiting for it to start again, i leaned on the gear shifter while i was turning the key, and VRRUMM!! I was like, WTF?!?! So i turned it off and messed around with the gear shifter, and finally figured out it was my Neutral Safety Switch. very easy fix, but spent alot of money fixing things that werent messed up. hope this helps..
oh and i think you can get the vats bypass at jegs or summit.
the car would be really hot it will start.it can be cold it wont start.its like it can happen anytime.also the car doesnt crank at all when u turn the key its like its not even try to start the car.but my brother getting really aggervated.we disconnected the battery and reconnected it started back up.i dont know whats going on.
yah i would definately check the Neutrak safety switch...sometimes even if the car wasn't driven, it would just not start. no cranking or nothing. just try pulling the gear shifter down a lil bit while you are turning the key. kinda like you are trying to put it in reverse. if that doesn't help, i'd check the wiring to your starter. maybe solenoid is going out? i dunno. hope he gets it fixed. keep us posted.

I might be wrong on the 3rd gen, but the Vette Passkey bypass requires you to know the key code. Usually it's a number between 1-15??? and those are assigned by the specific ohm rating of the resistor pellet in the key.
Someone here will have to post the list of code numbers. because I don't have them...or you can bring your key to the dealership, and they will tell you what code you have.
I did it with my Vette just in case my keys die, or gets lost...

We're skirting the bounds of getting into legal issues here.
Let's just say do a search and leave it at that. Anything that has been allowed to live is all we're going to allow to be posted on the Board. Having a legally-obtained key is the most important factor. Outside of that, there is no reason to continue discussing it with this thread.
