Nothing is the problem, I was just wondering if anyone has had experience buying used rear ends from a junk yard, I don't want to buy it if I install it and it is junk.

I bought a junkyard rear end for my old 89 IROC-Z. I ended up getting a 2.73/drum/open rear out of an early 80s firebird because that is all they had, and I was in a hurry. It worked fine for as long as I drove the car. Some junkyards will give you a 90-day warranty or something similar. Just ask them before you buy...

When buying the rear from the junk yard, the 4-6cylinder cars usually have 3.42-3.73 gears. After the purchase just buy the posi unit or just smoke the helllll out of the peg leg!

I got a open 3.42 set up for my car. I got it off of ezfindparts.com for about 300. They have a lot on there with low mileage. Mine had about 30,000. The drum brakes were toasted but I just replaced the cylinders and a few other odd parts and haven't had problems yet.

Make sure you calculate what the ratio is approximately w/ the mark driveshaft/rotate tires routine though.

My first rearend I went to the junkyard to get was supposed to be a 3.73 diskbrake rear. I got it home and noticed that it was in reality somewhere well into the 2s. Like a 2.4x or something (I think there is a 2.41). Anyway, it most definitely was not a 3.73 rear.

Luckly they took it back and gave me my money back. I ended up getting a 3.42 open rear w/ drums from a v6 car from them for $100. I then threw in a PowerTrax Lockright unit ($300) since a peg leg rear simply won't cut it. So for $400 total I had a 3.42 posi-type setup.

That beats trying to swap a decent gear and posi carrier into your current rear. I know, because I spent like $600 having 3.42s and a posi put into my IROC earlier. By the time you figure the gears, the posi carrier, the install kit ($100ish) you're already not looking so good pricewise and you still have to get it all installed (labor cost me $250).
