L03 GM replacment Oil Pan, can it be used?

Can the oil pan that comes on the L03 replacement engine be used in a thirdgen fbody? GM says that F cars need to use the oil pan off the old engine, but it looks about the same to me.

I have the 330hp crate engine and I didn't have to change the oil pan. I think they're all stock stamped pans are all basically the same.

Did it say that you needed to change the pan? Did you have to plug any holes or anything?

Didn't change a thing. Just make sure the oil check is on the passengers side.

We got the engine in yesterday, and got it running today.

There is a difference in the oil pans. The one that comes on the engine has a place for the oil level sensor.

We have a plug in there now that doesn't fit right, tomarrow we are going to hit the junk yard to see if we can get an old sensor to plug the hole with.

That was the only difference.
