low idle

When my car is in drive (No A/C on) my idle is about 500-550. Now when I turn on the A/C in drive my idle now is @ 600-650. I've replaced the tps and adjusted to .56 and I also, replaced the IAC valve, throttle body is clean. any suggestions. thanks.

88,

Did you set the minimum throttle position according to the directions?

As part of the directions, you need to use a hand held tachometer to set the position. The dash mounted instruments are not reputed to be highly accurate (I'm trying to be NICE - they really suck except for the voltmeter).

Just some thoughts.

Vader, I used my autoxray which I hope is fairly accurate and I set the TPS @ .56 or should I just set it @ .54, In the past I've adjusted the minium idle but I was never sure if I did it correctly. I know while I was trying to adjust minimum idle the car would keep dying on me until I screwed in the idle screw about 1 1/2 turns from factory setting and this seemed too much but I may be wrong. please help.
