Looking for Performance Upgrades

Hi
I have a 5.7 GTA 1989.
I have about $1000 to spend on performanace upgrades. Any Ideas.

I already have a K&N and exhaust redone from Cat back.

Plus, keep in mind I do not know how to do too many things myself. So Technician /Performance shops I can trust would be a GREAT Help. I am in Southern California

For starters I would upgrade the entire exhaust system. For some shops in so cal check out the so cal regional board. There is a post with a list of shops.

Check this link out. It was a article I read about a year ago in "Car Craft" Magazine and me and a buddy went by it for sh**s and grins to see if it work and amazingly everything work out just like the articl suggested and we got down it the 12's just by following the article. You may have to copy paste But this will lead you where you want to go with it.

For the exhaust system there is none better than Dyno Don. That's what I would do first. From the headers on back. Check him out in the So. Cal. section of this forum. I have the same car as you do and that was the biggest performance boost of all the mods I have done. Allen
