OK, this is my problem. i have a 1989 formula 350 tpi. original motor, 115000 miles. the only improvement is a flowmaster exhaust. The car is hard to start when it is cold, it takes like three turns of the key, and i have to pump the gas to get it to turn over. sometimes it idles really low, afterward, sometimes the idle jumps really high. during normal driving, the car will hesitate, off the line, or just when im cruising. i took it to a shop the other day, and the only thing they found wrong with it was 3 fuel injectors, they said the others were fine, and then the car ran great for like 3 days, now its acting up again. if anyone has any advice, please give it up. and i feel kinda dumb, this is the first time i have not been able to fix my car!

 

Do you still have the catalytic converter? If it's clogged or just plain shot, it can cause those kind of problems. It's worth checking out.
