Direct fit fuel pumps

Which high flow in tank fuel pumps are a direct fit for our cars, meaning just take the old one off, and plug the new one in? Is the Walbro 255 pump a direct swap or is there some modding involved?

I have that pump, had to splice the wire but other than that, it fit fine.

I know the holley 255 pump is made by walbro, but do you have to splice wires with it as well?

The one I purchased from http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com/ ,needed to be spliced as the connector with the kit were bigger than the one currently on the fuel pump assembly.

I bought the Holley 225 (Walbro) for my 88, direct replacement, no splicing.
