Anyone tried Snap Super Octane Booster??
Anyone tried Snap Super Octane Booster??
It comes in a yellow bottle and is only like 2 bucks, far cheaper than the STP stuff. Anyone try it for street/strip racing? Did you notice a difference? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Honestly, the only octane "booster's" i've heard of that actually work were the NOS and 104+ stuff. I believe the NOS offroad formula raised the octane rateing 1 pt while the 104+ stuff raised it 2.x points. Then again this was on an aluminum engine and i'm not sure where they got their basis for how much octane it raised. But on the scanner it did remove most if not all Knock Retard. Something to think about.

I used NOS octane booster in my engine, and it worked, but when I pulled it to change the cam and intake, I found the pistons tops were orange, the spark plugs and O2 sensor were covered in orange goop, and there was even orange goop in the exhaust ports of the heads. I say to stay away from octane booster now, and run straight 100 octane, or a mix of 100 and 92 octane, at the track.

You want octane booster, make it yourself...
100 oz of tolulene or xylene
25 oz of mineral spirits (cleaning agent)
3 oz of transmission fluid (cleaning&lubricating agent)
I know at lowes you could get xylene for less than $10 a gallon, but their prices on a 5 gal pail of mineral spirits is cheap. Xylene will raise the octane more than tolulene. You could get these components at paint supply stores also and make a whole sh:tload of booster.
I'm not taking credit for this knowledge, I pulled it off the Turbo Regal site.

Here's a page with the octane boost as a percentage of a mix with 92 octane.
