HELP!! I just broke something i need to know what it is
Ok I feel like the biggest idiot on the face of the earth, actually i know i am. After preaching about loving ones car and so on i ****ed mine up. I was in a parking lot and a friend who was at work came over. I was going to rev it up for him but i was in Drive, so i went to put it into neutral but being the idiot that i am i put it in reverse.... Mashed it and experienced EXTREME WHEELHOP and i barely whent anywhere. then i heard a loud ping. My friend said "there goes your tranny" and i felt sick. I immidiately noticed a loss of power, different idle sound i.e sounds like a rougher Idle bowwowowowow as opposed to my bwwwww before hard to explain. the car jerks in all gears especially in reverse. PLease someone lend a hand i feel sick.

I would say you broke the toque converter in the transmission, you probley broke one of the blades inside or bent one, thats why it's hard in all gears, and has a rough idle, take it to a transmission shop and have them change the toque converter, next time don't get so excited in showing off your Camaro and think of what your doing,,,, good Luck, enjoy the bill.
I know it was retarded. I feel like an *** . I have no respect for myself right now. Well. I had plans to build myself a new tranny... So for sure its the tranny and nothing else? COuld i have ****ed the rear or anything? or the engine? Anyone know how much a race prepped 700r4 with a vigilante will cost me?
I almost guarantee that you would have ripped off the tranny mount.... I did that with a 5-speed once when I was a stupid kid. I tried to peel out in reverse, and the whole car started jumping, and then the shifter started jumping about 5" up and down in my hand. Check it out.... if that's all it is... it's like a $20 part... and it takes about 20 min to install. Your 700R4 should be able to handle a couple reverse neutral slams... I know I've done worse to mine.
