need lots of help!!!!!
I just bought an 88 iroc with a 305tpi engine and a 5 speed tranny. the guy I bought it from sold the tpi and harness and computer off of it. he took the harness that goes from the computer out the passenger side firewall to the tpi out and cut the harness under the hood that goes thru the drivers side firewall to the fuse block. now nothing powers up at all, NOTHING!!! I am putting a 406sbc in it and need to know how to fix the wiring. I am searching for a tpi system including harness but if I end up having to carb it how do I get the wiring straightened out?? I searched for about 2 hours but did not find any answers, I am sure they are there but I can't find them, lol. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

also, if I use the tpi, can I use the 997 heads I already have or will I have to use the heads off a tpi motor? thanks
www.helminc.com or eBay, buy a Helms manual for your specific car and all the wiring diagrams you need will be in your hands. You're interested in two connectors...C100 and C207. C100 is the big block on the firewall, driver side near the brake booster. C207 is inside the car, passenger side footwell under the dash.
If you do a search on C100 or C207 you may find some info, but bear in mind the pinouts changed a bit from year to year.
Your '88 TPI intake has the four center head-holes (2 on each side) at a 72deg angle, whereas older heads have all holes at 90deg. Not a direct bolt-on but you or a machine shop can probably mod the holes and used angled washers.
