I went today and checked out a 94 Lt1 with 70,000 miles on it the car was the guys wifes and he had not drove it he said maybe 3 times. Well he offered me a killer deal on the car and I am going to buy it but when I asked what kind of gas mileage it got he said he thought about 15mpg correct me if I am wrong but it should get around 22to25 on the highway right? It is automatic aslo.

I have one and I can get about 21 on highway. It has 3.42 gears and is a 6 speed.

 

It depends on how you drive it. I can drive my camaro to get 25mpg on a stock engine or I could drive a Geo Metro to get 8mpg.

Oh I forgot that I think that the automatics have 2.73 gears. A friend has one that gets about the same as mine on highway.

 

I have a 94 with 6-speed and 3.42 gears (only gear choice available) and it knocks down about 25 on the highway, 18 average during my commute (50/50 highway and city). A 2.73 geared auto car should do about the same as mine.
