Brodix RRs 200?

Anyone have any experience or first hand knowledge with the new Brodix RaceRites 200cc. I was looking at their flow #s with the CNC chamber option, heres how it stacks up against AFR 195:

Brodix 200 AFR 195
.200 141/113 132/108
.300 221/153 196/156
.400 242/171 240/178
.500 265/179 260/190
.600 272/183 262/192

Exhaust is a little weaker(but I'm not sure if Brodix uses a pipe like AFR) but at .300 lift the Bordix head has 25cfms over the AFR on the intake. They cost about the same, and you don't have to wait 6-8 months like you do with AFRs. The valve springs on the Brodix are also Comp Cams 986s so they are not the cheap ones on the AFRs a number of people have had problems with. A member over at the chevelles.com forums flowed both a Brodix and an 210AFR on his bench, back to back, and the Brodix was stronger almost everywhere until higher lifts(.500+). So what do you guys think? Any experiences, time slips, dyno #s?

After some extensive research, I purchased a set of RR200 heads for my 406. I opted for the 2.055 intake and 1.60 exhaust, cnc'd combustion chambers and 30 deg. backcut on the valves.

Once I received my heads, I took them to be flowed at a shop here in Ohio. This guy had a brand new flowbench so I know these numbers are correct.
int / exh
.200 146 / 117
.300 197 / 165
.400 246 / 203
.500 264 / 222
.600 271 / 228
.700 274 / 235
After seeing the flow numbers, I called Brodix to find out why the intake was very close to their numbers but exhaust was much higher than theirs? They told me that they do not use a pipe. We used a 1.750" pipe when we flowed my heads. The guy who flowed them was very impressed with the exhaust flow numbers and the overall quality of the head.

I'm using these on my 406, 11.0-1 comp.,Comp XE solid roller 242/242, 1.6 rr int / 1.52 rr exh, MiniRam etc. I have not dynoed or ran the car at the track yet. My previous motor was a 383, AFR's, Solid roller, MiniRam etc. That combination went 11.61@118 through full exhaust including cats and street tires. The 406 combination feels much stronger than that. The ET however is to be determined.

FWIW - When I purchased my AFR's, I had them flowed and found that they flowed much less than advertised.

Wow, those are great #s. I wonder why these heads don't get more attention.

What kinda price did you get on the heads? The 30 degree backcut is an "option", i thought it would already come like that. I know the CNC chamber is an option tho.

The 30 deg backcut was an option. I also changed out my springs from what were sent opting to use a set of Crower springs with Titanium retainers that better suited the solid roller.

Email me for more specifics on pricing.

coolant temperature switch and guage

Do the RR 200's have holes for the coolant temperature fan switch and coolant temperature guage sensor?

Mine only had the provision for temp sensor. Brodix can drill and tap a hole for the fan switch.

Temp sender & fan switch are the same hole.... one is in the head you put on the right side, one is in the head you put on the left. The 2 heads are the same and both have the hole. Just like stock heads.
