Hey everyone,
I have an 1982 Z with a 350 bored "060 with Keith Black Pistons, High volume oil pump, Crane 2030 Compucam 268/278 454/480, AFR 190cc Heads, Edelbrock RPM Manifold, Holley 650 duel feed. I left a friends house a while ago and got on it then it blew something and the car started running real bad. Checked timing and compression and it's all good, but the vacuum is way low 3" at idle about 1000. I changed the power valve and rebuilt the carb, no change in vacuum. Now the car wont even stay running, it blows every color smoke imaginable..what does it look like I'm facing here? Why is there no vacuum in the engine? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Anything could be broken/off from a head gasket, to a valve, to an intake gasket to who knows what. So far your description doens't help us diagnose w/o seeing/hearing it.
