cars for sale with unknown miles, is it worth it

I've been looking for a camaro for a while. and i seem to keeping coming across camaro's that have non original miles. either the odometer doesn't work or the the engine was rebuilt and they have no proof. Lately i've just been putting those cars off. but now i getting desperate for a camaro. i need a opinion. are those cars worth a look or are they good buys.

There is a perfect car out there for what you want, wait until you find it, there is nothing worse than driving down the road in your new/used car and seeing a different one that you would have bought instead. wait it out.

Well if they say the engine was rebuilt and they dont have any receipts for having it done or parts or machine work then treat the car as if it has high mileage because it does. You should be able to get the car for a lower price. Take it for a drive of at least 15 minutes see how it runs and handles. Take the oil filler cap off and see if the engine is dirty inside. Look under the car for leaks. Then price accordingly.
