GM Service mans- late 80s
I've kept my eye open for a 1989 Firebird Service manual preferring not to have a CD version, but as prices are fairly high for my taste, do the 1988 or 1990 manuals apply well enough to the 1989 models? I had read that GM made a few changes at this point in time so I've been reluctant to settle for another year. The 89 year seems in demand due to the Turbo anniversary car

I have the '89 service manual and it has nothing specific to the turbo GTA's, I'm geussing there was a supplement for that.
Biggest problems you're gonna run into between '88 and '90 is troubleshooting engine control (if you have TPI). '88 had the 9th injector and '90 was speed/density. The Chilton's have ok diagrams but I've already found discrepancies with them too. Not sure about TBI differneces those years.
If you need any one thing in particular shoot me an email and I could scan it in for ya.

The 89 has the VATS security and the cooling fans are setup just a bit different too. Might be a good idea to get the right year just in case other things are changed.
