Car wont start.

I just got my car back together today. It was running fine. I dropped the cpu down to take the chip out and when I burned a new chip and went out to the car and tried to start it the car wouldn't start. I have fuel and spark. What else could cause the car not to start? I noticed that when I turn the key to on the fans come on. It never did that before. When I unplug the cpu the fans go off. Could a bad ecm cause it to not start. BTW I tried 2 diff chips. So I know its not the chip.
Thanks
Shawn

I'm hoping that you're not inserting and unplugging the CALPAK/PROM witth the power on. While I'm not certain what hardware damage might be done by such an action, it is never good practice with electronics, and the ECM will at the very least get confused and probably set a code.

Have you scanned for codes? Does it run correctly with the stock CALPAK?

Vader, he found that the chip he burned was defective. He got a new one and burned it and fixed his problem.
