85 kit for an 87 350
i have a 350 i'm going to be building. i'm probably going to get the street performance engine kit from northern auto parts for an older 350. i know i'l need a rear main seal, oil pan gasket, and because i'm using vortec heads i'l need intake gaskets and valve cover gaskets. is there anything i'm forgetting?

Why not get a kit for a '96 truck 350? That will have the correct head, intake and pan gaskets, rear main seal, etc.
I'm not sure of the date, but sometime the factory went from English unit ring grooves to metric, but as long as you're getting pistons et al, that won't be an issue.
