water pump questions

I've searched the boards but I just want to be absolutely certain about this as it is kinda important to the car.. heh

My car is an '89 Iroc-Z 305 TBI (yes, they made tbi's in 89, so nobody say they never heard of an 89 tbi iroc), with the serpentine belt system.

My water pump's crapping out on me (leaking about an inch of coolant out of the radiator a day) so I need to replace it. So...

Long, reversed direction, right?

That should be correct. I would be inclined to take the old one off and haul it to the parts store for direct match up(if possible).

Well, I'll probably be ordering a Stewart's pump or something like that, so.. I don't think that's going to be a possibility in this case. heh
