I just don't get it, advance retard stock is at 6* it doesn't make sense to me? If anyone has a link or can explain it in some detail (like where detonation occurs and what is safe to run on the street)

stock is at 6° is advance, not retard, it's the base timing sometimes refered to as initial timing. Link to Timing Tech Article

Question, what does DFI in your sig mean? if it means digital fuel injection, how does it differ from electronic fuel injection?

I bought the system with a motor, so I know it means something, I have yet to figure it out.

My knowledge learning is a project aka my username

I'm sure it doesn't mean this:
DIRECT FUEL INJECTION or DFI
is as the name implies, a process of injecting a fuel charge directly into the combustion chamber. Not to be confused with electronic fuel injection (EFI - batch, or sequential fire) or programmed fuel injection into the intake passages of a four stroke (individual injector control.)

Acronyms these days can have multiple meanings.
