Anybody using Holley Annihilator ign.'s?

I've been reading up on ignitions lately, and was wondering your opinions on the Holley's. I know it sounds dumb, but I want a black coil and ignition box to match everything else under the hood. I want to open the hood and for people to see a stock looking engine without red blue and yellow accessories. How do the Holley's compare to Crane? TIA everyone.

I have the 100model. They are all basically the same. The holley puts out a little more voltage (535 i think). I like it bc the rpm limit is easy to change. But, it dont matter much now bc my car is not running.

Are you using a lasershot coil too, or the original GM coil?

Do you think there'd be any ill effects to mounting the Laser Shot coil to the engine? I was thinking of making an aluminum bracket to mount it where the stock coil mounts. Do you think the vibration would be bad for it? I'm assuming its just a wireround coil like the stocker.

Well, it is a wire coil. I think they call them E-coils (for epoxy). And they are supposed to withstand some viberation. But, in some cases, vibs will knock them out. With rubber engine mounts you should be ok..

I use the street/strip one in my race car. I was originally going to get the MSD digital 6 but I like the features more on the Holley. Controls 2 programmable shift lights, 3 step rev limiter, ignition start retard. No "pills" required since it's all digital.

You should change the coil since the Holley ignition recommends a Capacitance Discharge coil to work properly. A regular coil will work but I melted a distributer cap the first time I tryed that.

Thanks for the input Stephen, I'm leaning toward the Holley myself. Thanks to jcb also.
