Hey 84305HO

I was just wondering what mods you have done to your carb. I just read a post that you run 14.2 What has been the best mod to get that time?

Thanks

Also forgot to ask, what RPM are you launching/shifting at?

Thanks... (I know, this is half tech half drag board)...

Hi Alan, sorry but I have been away from this board for a few days. My carb mods are
the basic changes such as CK rods, B hanger,
slightly looser tension on the air valve.
A not so common mod is to drill out the
tiny hole in the small vacuum canister that
helps dampen the opening of the secondary air valves. Access to the hole required
cutting the metal tube at the bend, opening
up the hole, and epoxying the tube back on.
As for the launch I come off the line about 2500-3000 rpm, but this can only be
done with a sticky tire. Shifting is done
at 5300-5600 rpm.
