Oil comming out of Oil filler cap

I've got a 1990 LB9, and I've noticed oil around the filler cap as well as the other outlet on the passenger side valve cover. I believe this is caused by excessive pressure within the engine. The PCV valve is functioning. What could be the cause of this?

Zed,

Your belief is probably correct. Excessive case pressure usually causes oil ejaculation. If it were only on one side of the engine, I might believe a plugged oil drainback in that head, but since both sides are spewing oil, I'd guess you have a crankcase pressure issue. If the PCV is clean and functioning, you are probably getting excessive blowby gasses. Worn or stuck rings are the likely culprit. If you have clean oil, the problem is most likely wear. How many miles are on the engine?

Vader, there is about 120,000 miles on the car. I recently had the heads re furbished,I have not done a compression test on it. Soon after the head install, I noticed an oil leak at the back of the motor. I beleive the seal between the intake and block is no good. Could this excessive internal pressure have blown out the relatively new seal in that part of the motor?
