Car dies then sends a Code 33 after restart
I'm having a new and "wonderful" problem. I'll be driving along. I come to a stop then the engine "surges" and dies. When I restart I get that nasty SES light (Code 33). With the SES light the car runs rough at low RPM/Speeds but just fine at high RPM/Speed. This just started happening and is becoming more frequent (3 times today). Any help would be greatly apprecaited.
Thanks,
Jacob

First check your connections to the MAF. Then you might change the MAF Power relay located near the brake booster on the firewall. After that you may have to replace the MAF.
Hey. I have this same situation but at a relatively low frequency. A guy that autocrosses in my club is also the parts manager for a Chevy dealer. He mentioned the MAF and MAF relay... Maybe I'll give this a try...
