High Rpms?

When I start my car the engine will be normal at idle around 750 but then will jump to almost 1500 rpms what's up with that? I'm not getting and engine codes but any suggestions?

With factory programming, the idle should be high when a cold engine is started. Target idle RPM will slowly drop based on a timer and the CTS input. If the CTS is not warming up, the idle will remain high.

Coolant temperature sensor. Its on your waterpump. I'd replace it to be sure, I think they are only $15.

i had to replace my cts. 8 bucks. it went out completly.
it fixed it

hmm i'll check to see if that's what it is but i've just had all that stuff replaced rather recently so i'll check into it....
