SES codes when going uphill - fuel issue?

hi

kept getting code 33, replaced MAF/ECM, relays, TPS, etc.
went away for a while then came back.

burned new chip with max maf tabel values at 255 to get rid of 33. (1986) then the SES codes have also gotten 22 and 44 recently.

then i realize it always happens when i'm driving uphill. engine goes silent for a second and does not seem to respond to gas pedal. then the SES comes on and engine kicks back in but runs like crap.

the fuel pump has been extra noisy lately. i'm wondering if its a fuel issue if its not getting enough fuel when going uphill and so its reporting too much air?? i.e. fuel pump issue. i can hear it prime on startup.

i got a fuel pressure guage but im really not sure how to use it. i did a search but couldnt figure it out exactly. is the gauge ALWAYS supposed to be around 45 whether you are idling/driving/whatever ??? it seems to jump around a bit. can you drive around with the guage connected?

thanks...
