fuel filter

i have an inline fuel connecton to the carb. my question is when i disconnect it even with the engine off (fuel pump not running) will fuel still pour out..and if so what is the easiest way to change the filter with fuel coming out?

Fuel will come out. Make sure the engine is cool, and put on some safety goggles, and change it. Use a shop towel to absorb it. If you have some rubber line somewhere on it, you can get a hose clamp, to clamp the hose shut to minimize leaking.

A little fuel will come out when you first open the line. After that, you could leave it open for days and no more will come out (unless the fuel filter is way down low and below the level of fuel in the tank and syphons out).
