cylinder heads

hello to all yall as you can see I am new to the forum upon returning from IRAG i am stroking my LO5 out to a 396. the question is which will be the better heads the Edelbrock "Performer" heads or the E-Tec 175/200 heads? I will cross the tuning bridge when I get there.

stroking a lo5 to a 396 ought to put the pistons about 6" above the intake

So what you are saying is that the LO5 block will not be able to support a 3.875 stroke?

I think he finally lost it! There are lots of good heads, your CNC ported will do nicely. There are some wicked CNC files out there for those heads.
