Right Now I have a 305 with a 4bbl carb and a single snorkel air cleaner. If I would get a 15" round by 3" wide air cleaner would I gain much horsepower??

The stock air cleaner is a POS. Buy the biggest K&N filter that you can fit under the hood. Buy a dual snorkel kit if you can... the more fresh air the better.

How tall of a filter can a standard firebird hood handle without hitting? I havent measured actually.
