Add Leather Interior to GTA? Or keep original?
I have a 1988 gta red no ttops. This car is all original and in great shape. It has 57,000 original miles. I would love to put leather interior into the car. Maybe 2 tone red and black with a few gta emblems. I was wondering if that would affect the value of my car. If anyone has any thoughts. Thanks.

I t would only increase the value. Unless you plan on keeping the car for another 20+ years, do with it as you want.

These cars have very little "orignailty" type value. Not now, and most likely not ever. Unlike the muscle cars of the 60s or similar, nobody cares; nobody's going to remember them fondly for their stellar, earth-shaking performance or any of that.
If the car is REALLY a GTA, then it shouldn't need GTA emblems. They should already be there. If it's not a GTA, then putting them on, would be a lie; and I don't think you should do that. That's r¡cer poseur crap, like putting "Type R" and "VTEC" stickers on a base-model drum brake POS gorcery cart Civic. Pure bogosity.
Leather is great. No matter what, that's probably a good idea. People will pay more for a car with leather interior, by far, than they will for "original"; especially in a car like these, whose value does not lie in their "originality" in the first place.
I would avoid the 2-tone. That would look stupid and out of place in a car that has not one single other 2-tone feature about it. Pick a good interior color; red, black, gray, tan, whatever; and go with it. As far as putting GTA emblems on the seats, that might be cool, if you could find ones that wouldn't be uncomfortable to sit on.

If fear factor keeps wrecking these cars you may wish it was factory.
I dont care for leather seats, I'd rather have cloth but thats me. If you want them go for it. It's your car you dont need premission to do with it what you please. If it's a classic 20 years from now I dont think anybody would care about the seats being different as long as the car is 90% intact. Seats arent a deal breaker, 30 lbs of bondo is.

Here is a thought. If you want originality, find some leather '88 seats. May take some looking, but they're out there. It will keep the parts of an original "era" and they were availible for your car that year. It just will not be listed on your RPO code list.
Just a thought.
Just a thought.
