Boring a block is usually around $10-12 a hole. Porting heads depends on how far you want to go. A basic pocket port should cost $300-$400 not including a valve grind or any other machine work that may be required.

if i remember the costs on my motor..
the shortblock work, tanking pressurechecking, align boring, boring and honing, and decking the block were around 500 bucks.
The bowl work, valve jobs, and guides for the vortec heads were around 500 bucks. the springs pressure checking and installation were about another 75.
