FACTS:
New Cap, Rotor, Plugs, Wires, Charged Battery, no apparent gasket leaks. Power Brakes do not work the pedal goes all the way mushy... I have checked the brakes, no leaks and pads are fine and everything is connected.
Problem:
No Idle... Runs like it is missing, but at High RPM it is fine.
Okay, so my car will start, but runs like crap. It has no idle and I have to run it at 1500 or higher to keep it running. It sat for a year and now it is time to make it come back to life. I need it running soon and I need it to be able to drive around the block at this point. The brakes are not my first concern at this time. I just want it running so I can pull it in and out of the garage until I can afford to have it back on the road in August.
It is a 1986 Camaro Coupe
2.8 V6
Many mods and sub 16 sec ¼ when it ran

This may be a stupid question, but did you check to see if the brake booster hose is connected correctly? Maybe it has decayed or something, causing no brakes and the huge vacuum leak that wont let you idle.

Sounds alot like a leaky master cylinder, which when it leaks it spills brake fluid into the booster like they always do, and it has caused the brake booster diaphragm to rupture ... that accounts for mushy brakes, and the vacuum leak in the booster would account for the idle problem.
