Jet Fan Switch?

As you can tell from my sig, I have an '86 LG4 with the following mods. Lately my car's fan doesn't seem to be kicking in early enough to be cooling it down in traffic. Probably never really did. So i am thinking about ordering the JET fan switch from Summit part no. 6606..somthing. My questions is that, summit says this switch is for a dual-electric or electric auxilary fan set-up. I have the single electric fan that i beleive is activated by my ECM and the CTS. Would this switch work for me at all? Also, when my mechanic swapped in the edlbrock intake, he couldn't find a place to mount the CTS so he installed it in the waterneck, is this the correct location, and could this be affecting my CTS readings?

My 86' IROC LG4 had the same fan switch as my 89 T/A L98, so the Jet fan switch will work. Use a 180 degree thermostat too. From what I remember, the CTS was in the waterneck. On your car, the ECM does not comtrol the fan.

Forget the JET switch, look in to getting a 87ish GN fan temp switch. I forget at what temp it kicks the fans, but it is near what the JET switch does. Plus it's cheaper!
