wont start untill after oil pressure comes up
Ive got a 1989 rs camaro with 305 throttle body
The car wont start unless the oil pressure gauge rises to about 15-20 lbs while cranking on the starter, so if the engine is warm in some cases it wont start. It doesnt seem to be fuel (I bypassed the relay to make sure) I can hear the fuel running at least, the check engine light flashes one time right before it starts no flash no start.
I dont know if Ive got a computer problem or a bad starter drawing to much power or what.
Thanks if you can help

Likely the relay it's self. Defenately not the starter.
Welcome Aboard!
Since you've jumpered the fuel pump relay, and can hear the fuel pump running, we can presumem you have fuel pressure. Instead of immediately turning the key to the START position, turn the key to RUN, allow the ECM to perform its POST routine, and listen for the fuel pump while you watch the SES lamp for that single flash off. If you don;t get that single flash off of the lamp, the ECM has not passed its diagnostic. You may have a problem with intermittent connections at the ECM (including grounds, harness connectors, and the MEMCAL). Verify the connections by disconnecting the battery, reseating the MEMCAL, and unplugging and reconnecting the harness connectors. Many times, that alone can solve intermittent ECM problems. Try again.

Just make sure you switched out the right relay, I had the same problem you have. I switched the stupid fan relay out and not the fuel relay . Once I put the right one in started right up . Same symptons you have, crank for 30 secs gauge goes up drops then slowly rises to 15 psi and starts.
