Dirty Engine Coolant

About a week ago I filled up the engine coolant tank up to the line with some Prestone coolant. The little bit of water that was already in there was dirty and brown. Now a week later, the same amount that I put in last week has turned from orange to dirty brown! Do i need to do a radiator flush? If so is that something I could do myself with everyday tools? Any help would be appreciated.

yea.. but you should consider what your going to do with the old coolant. It is not very environmentally sound to just dump it in the ditch. Coolant flush kits are about 5 bucks and if you have not had it done in 30K+ miles it needs it. But, you can probably find a coupon for a kmart and get them to do it for 30 or so and you won't harm any little animals.
