Losing coolant/oil
Losing coolant/oil
I have a '91 Camaro crate 350, TPI Conversion from 305 to 350 Iincluding drop down harness, computer and chip), running PCV as well as ATI Procharger set up. Finally after years of getting it the way I want it, something else comes up. I am getting closer I think to fixing everything. Hitting the gas hard I see White smoke out of the exhaust; smell exhaust inside veh and breather as well as oil cap on valve covers popping off. Some say itis because of the chrome covers that came with the engine. Just want to know if everything I have is right or where to start checking?

white smoke out the tail pipe means coolant leaking into the combustion chamer. which most people would think is a blown head gasket. take your radiator cap off and warm your car up to normal operating temperture, and rev the motor up some and if it overflows alot then its probably a blown head gasket.
Heated up car and seen coolant running into the top of the radiator. Looks like the heads need to come off and see what we see. However, you don't think it has anything to do with vacuum lines or anything on that area? or something else?
