engine RPM problem, code 33?
OK, A couple days ago I had to replace the heater valve in my '89 Formula 350. Part of it had broken off inside of the hose it was attached to, and was brought to my attention by all the white smoke coming from the hood.
So I replaced it, no problem there. Cleaned out the hoses of all those little pipe parts that had come off. As soon as I hook up the new heater valve and start the car, the Service Engine Soon light comes on. When I start the car now and first put it into gear, it gets jumpy on the RPMS. Like it wants to die, then kicks into life, then wants to die...etc. Once I get it to normal driving speed however, its fine for the rest of the trip, stops and all.
I check the code reading and if Im reading it right, its giving me a code 33. (Three flashes followed by a slight pause and three more flashes.) Check the MAF sensor and wires, everything looks OK.
So I guess Im trying to figure out whats setting it off, the SES light is still on, and its tending to idle high (around 1200-1400 RPMS) in park.
Ideas?

Ok, I just checked the TPS, good call. The wire connecter with the three wires leading into looks like it needs to be replaced. Its falling apart would be the easiest thing to say. Anybody know the best place to get a replacement one of those?
