I have a new gas tank waiting to go in. I want to paint it cause it looks pretty ratty. any suggestions? I think regular spray paint will come right off. I want something that will last and protect the tank from rust.
thx

I'll second that. There are ads for the stuff in all the car mags if you haven't heard of it before.

Makes several products for your tank including internal sealer and paint called "tank tone"..... good stuff.

Black zinc chromate. From auto paint store in quarts and maybe rattle cans. Flat to satin finish depending on thickness. It's a frame paint and lives longer than an ex wife.
